After we had seen a number of examples throughout the day, someone asked, "How do you search for blogs? Is there a directory somewhere?" Today, the answer is no.

We know that Google loves weblogs, but there is no current directory of blogs by category, like the good ole' Yahoo topic directory. Anil Dash commented that Six Apart are working on a directory tool that will most likely categorize by post, rather than the entire blog. They will start with the TypePad default categories (and TypePad blogs) and move from there.
