Future of KM in corporations

I'm sitting in on some sessions with large vendors at my current client. We are primarily looking at content management systems, but when asked about "the future of KM" one of them talked about syndication and another talked about weblogs as a new directions in corporate KM. Of course, they also talked about expertise location, content management, learning management, and the other technologies that tend to be lumped under knowledge management. Interesting. Maybe we will see some of this technology in businesses, if the big vendors are talking about it.

At the Microsoft CEO summit last week, Bill Gates talked to CEO's about the importance both blogging and RSS will have on corporate communication. I imagine that helped the cause!
