Blogs and KM

Fred On Something suggests that one could Use blogs to manage tacit knowledge in enterprises?

[P]ersonal experiences, that create the tacit knowledge, are hard to grab. How could we try to diffuse them, and crystallize them into the organization, if we have difficulties to define them?

... A possible answer: Blogs

JoHo just mentioned something to this effect over the weekend, and Fred does a nice job of laying out the reasoning as to how blogs could be used to connect people and their experiences.  I like that his idea talks about connecting people, whereas most people start talking about internal blogs being replacements for project status reports.
