      <![CDATA[ <p>Jack D, That's why I made reference to "drinking the Kool-Aid."  However, the Goldratt ideas have been hammered out over 20+ years since The Goal was originally published.  And not every company that gets to the point of the Viable Vision offer will get one.  </p>

<p>The thing I found fascinating was Goldratt's ability to walk the client through their number (current sales, current manufacturing capacity, opportunities for the Mafia Offer, etc) and have the results seem nearly obvious.  At the same time, it's not obvious because companies haven't been able to do this on their own.  </p>

<p>And to clarify for BobV.  The Viable Vision is that in four years your profits will be at least what your sales are today.  If you make $3 MM in sales today, in four years the Viable Vision will take you to $3 MM in profits with the corresponding changes in sales and operations to get you there.<br />

      <![CDATA[ <p>Our company is a VV company.  We are fairly early stage but progress and change has been dramatic. We wouldn't drink the Kool Aid unless we first tasted the flavor and knew what we were drinking.  We wouldn't spend the money either.  </p> ]]>
