I too use SharpReader. I like your idea of saving the filters. I use them for find items of interest and to identify spblogage for culling.

I wish SharpReader could:
1.) Allow for kill file expressions similar to what one could do w/ NNTP feeds. I'd like to automatically read, mark and delete any posts with fixed expressions of my choosing. Perhaps any article containing France, "Bird Flu", Ubuntu, Debian, Novell, jobs, vioxin or legal might not be missed?
2.) Provide a way to export "locked" items. As a read w/ SR I "lock" posts of interest so that they don't get purged. Sure I can muck w/ the feed properties, but that doesn't do the trick. If I could export my locked/bookmarked items in XML/HTML format then I could spourt a page of "Mike's cool posts". There are also certain feeds which I'd like to remove, but I've got 80-100 "locked" items that I don't want to lose.
Exporting locked items along w/ a filter would be real cool. The "locked" items seem to be in a cache subdirectory, but the format escapes me.
3.) Add a trash bin. As I'm trudging through my feeds I often get click happy and delete one too many items. If I caught enough of the subject then I can usually find it w/ google. If I had a folder/topic called deleted I could be much more agressive on culling things out. I could decide when to actually purge it.
