      <![CDATA[ <p>I like "mind mapping". It's been a useful tool to communicate with people who might be 'word-weary' and haven't the time or patience for 500 word emails. That is, i've used it as a feedback tool, mapping out what i think someone is saying --or asking for. </p>

<p>It's a hard sell at my work, where power point rules, but i keep using it. Have you heard of FreeMind? A freebie based on Java. <a href="http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page">http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page</a><br />
I started using it because it was free and has a port to MacOSX. It has some limitations but it's been a good tool to start mind mapping with (for me). </p> ]]>
