iPhone trademarks
Just for smiles, I checked the US PTO trademark search. As of today, there are 17 trademarks with the term in the title. And check out this press release for InfoGear Technology's IPhone from 1996, National Semiconductor Using Technology From Sun Microsystems For Internet Products. Below the fold are results, massaged a bit, from the US PTO.
Just to be clear: I am not particularly interested in the legal wranglings. I was just curious and had some extra time on my hands.

Nice post. Just wanted to let you know that your links to the PTO search sites have expired. If you want to link to a trademark on the PTO you'll have to link to the TARR version. For example, the TARR Status page for XTREME IPHONE is located at http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=serial&entry=78590673 (or if you prefer tinyurl.com/yrpjgo). I know it's a pain because the PTO search result page already has a link with the serial number to the TESS version. But, it is what it is.
