I still think Blogs are like a Front porch. Though I am currently working on expanding that vision of a front porch to not only blogs, but video, and articles. I think that I can help companies improve their relationship with the community by giving the community things to think about, and new ways to view a product.

The first example of this is a Video I did mostly for fun but as a proof of concept of how companies can build interest in their product through video.

Xbox Live Goes Mobile As We Play Rainbow 6 on Google Wifi

Which evangelizes Xbox, Microsoft, Jeep, Google, all of these companies benefit from the press, and enthusiasm this video brings. I guess in the front porch analogy you would say this is the bringing over a basket of cookies to your new neighbor to make introductions.

The Blogging as a Front Porch guy is going head to head with Stephen Colbert, to be the top Rank for "Greatest Living American" I was in the number two spot and have fallen to number 8, I'd appreciate your help, support, and vote as the only opposition in this race.
