Jack, great feedback and insights on Scott's recent RSS mini-series. Glad you liked it -- there's now a fifth in the series: http://www.attensa.com/blogs/attensa/2007/04/feed_reading_best_practice_par_4.php

It looks like there is some back and forth here about whether an online reader (can use behind firewalls) or offline reader (can read when you don't have Internet access) is best. I think it's simple: use a feed reader that has desktop, web, and mobile components. That way you can read your feeds based on your situation and (filter feeds by context). Such an RSS reader should also sync your feeds between all locations, so you see the same view across all readers. Attensa's RSS reader for Outlook does this, you can download it for free.

Also, we're really excited to have just announced our newest version (2.5) at ETech last week. One of the coolest updates? The current version tracks and analyzes your reading behavior, and floats the most relevant feeds to the top of your reading list... and the new version does this on an article-level basis.

Cheers,
Paul

I agree with you and Paul. Anytime, anywhere access is the key - with choice of channels.

I once watched Robert Scoble and Chris Pirillo have a religious fight in front of 200 people one time about whether feeds should be complete feeds or just headlines.

Choice and channels - give me liberty from one-size-fits all.
