I'm a STAR at AOK

I've been a member of the Association of Knowledge Work (AOK) since its early days, which also coincided with my early days in knowledge management.  AOK's biggest draw for me has been the monthly email conversations with practitioners and thinkers from all over the map in knowledge management.  Starting today, I am sitting in the STAR Series seat.

My topic?  KM in Academia.  Here is the intro to my thoughts, as posted to the Star Series introduction, along with more of my background.

How is knowledge management taught at the university? When KM started moving up the awareness charts of academic publications in the 1990s, it started to be a topic of academic instruction. Since then, the topic has come in and out of favor in various academic programs around the world. There are many current programs in North America, and I'm familiar with programs in Australia and Singapore.

If you are interested in joining the conversation, head on over to AOK and sign up.
