      <![CDATA[ <p>It's this fixation with dates as milestones - deliverables are milestones, and while projects should (and usually do) have a time target, in the end the success or otherwise is measured by the deliverables - "did we get what we wanted/were promised?"</p> ]]>

      <![CDATA[ <p>Have to disagree with Jac [assume this is "Jim"]. I don't know a client that would have been happy if I'd delivered late, or with poor quality. To extend [Jim]'s metaphor, they also focus on "...when we were promised".</p>

<p>I do think that they can be more flexible over costs - budget overruns can be forgotten in the euphoria of a successful project on the day it was promised</p> ]]>
