      <![CDATA[ <p>The lore of the OST name is that it was called simply "Open Space" at the beginning and that when it appeared in the New York Times, the reporter wrote "Open Space Technology."  Since the NYT is so important, the same stuck.  I can't verify the truth of this tale, but it's what "they" say.  You could probably check the OSList archives for verification from Harrison Owen, of just post and see what he says.</p> ]]>
